Can an ITM Millenium stem be safely flipped? It's carbon-wrapped aluminum, but it doesn't have the usual reverse lettering. I need to do it to fit one of my bikes for a friend who destroyed his derailleur hanger today.

Tom

Unless it has some special mounting issues like the Specialized stems, it should be fine (other than wired graphics)

Give it a try as Bruce suggested. Pete

It sends an innocent child to a Catholic orphanage,
but yes, besides the sin, it can be installed upside down.

Many stems made before the early 2000's didn't have the
printing both ways, mostly because far fewer people installed
them that way. I guess it took a while for it to occur to some
product designers to change the graphics.

Yes, what Grant said.
I did it on two Milleniums for years no problem.
It's getting hard to find a good selection of 26 mm stems.
