Has anyone had experience with these tires. I'm a bit curious, especially because of the +/- price of $260 per tire and the fact they come on this weird spindle thingy that is supposed to stretch them AND they come with tire covers.

But all fanciness aside, anyone know how they actually perform? I've ridden their tubular counterparts which are really nice. $300 nice is questionable, but nice.

over 200 bucks for a wear part doesn't seem like the best investment. Tire covers notwithstanding.

From the picture that thing looks like a tubular not a clincher. Japanese perfecting tufo maybe? 250 bucks is not a bad price if they ride as nice i think they do, specially in the track. I wouldn't use those in the road.
