Yeah, Happy Birthday Smiley!! I picked up your e-mail offer of a ride as I was settling into the morning coffee with the papers way too late to get there. Hope you had a good crew to celebrate with. Tim sends regards too -- he said to tell you he's sitting on the trainer watching ACC basketball (that would be MD-Duke, of course).

Hey kb , so a new nomme de plumbe , you get what I mean , Duke messed up my dinner plans. But we did have a nice 32 miler with the gang even got to see Matt and Too Tall today. I am working on the fixie idea and want you to think of converting your old bike over to one. Leave one side of the axel as a free wheel ofcourse as were not nuts. Thanks to all who posted.

hey Smiley, real men ride true fixies. i really like mine. got a killer deal on a 2003 fuji track pro. i can see myself building a custom in the future with a more road bike oriented geometry. pretty neat riding a bike that only weighs about 14lbs too.

If I had known, I'd of sent you a baklava. Happy Birthday, youngun. No matter how hard you try, you'll never be as old as I am, let alone as Sandy is.

Best,

. . . skip the usual feeble attempts at cleverness and just say that I hope you have had a wonderful, happy birthday with family, friends, and bikes, and I hope you will have many, many more!
