I came across a very interesting crankset on a bike yesterday made by a company called Sweet Parts? I googled the name and came up with a couple of references that they were some of the lightest, stiffest cranks made.

Anyone have a pair or know anything about them?

Thanks!

Shocked you don't know about those. If you like champagne, tubular crankarms, hey, cool!

i know a guy that rode the hell out of them until recently when they finally wore out.

hollow steel (welded tubular) design, splined interface, external bearings, beefy spindle, 1-bolt fixing...sound familiar?

clearly, they were cutting edge. those along with Morati Ti cranks, and Cannondale/Coda/Pong Magic cranks were the to-die-for cranks in the early/mid '90s.

Yessir, those are the ones. Thanks for the link Walter.

I can't remember seeing a set of the Sweet Parts cranks back in the day but do remember the Moratis.

Thanks for the info guys.

Happy Friday!

They were Gucci, but a friend had a pair and the spindle split

Those are Sweet Wings cranks. I've got a barely used set of those in the basement.

The guy who developed those cranks is the same guy who currently makes the EE Brakes.

Haha, that's my crank! Anybody have a left/non-drive side crankarm in 175mm that they want to sell? Let me know!

bfd's got a high power to weight ratio, he will rocket if he can drop a few kilos and that crank might still be usable!
