last scale reading.

my old buddy - whom i started racing with in the 80's, southern Connecticut and now in Camden, weighed my beast at his trek shop this week.

On a converted dial food scale he told me 18.5 lbs

His scale outright lied to me, and i liked it..............modern steel mmmmmmm

Is this some veiled ad for a bike or something?

I see no supporting information.

No, he brought his beast to be weighed at a bike shop... We don't know if it's a dog, cat, horse... At 18.5 pounds it sounds way small for a horse, kinda large for a cat.

At my shop I have a standard answer to the old weight question - about two weeks.

My bike weighs around 200 pounds less then I do. That's why I call it all rounding error and marketing. Tires roll when the legs are willing regardless of what the scale lies to me about. :)

Yep, we call 20 pounds a "SBW", Standard Bike Weight...most riders could lose a SBW offa their body or even more...
