I'm one of those dorks who you see out there wearing screaming yellow jerseys and coats. Do you any of you know where to get a long sleeve screaming yellow jersey? Does Pearl Izumi make one? I've never seen one. Maybe they are just too ugly to bear the thought of having one long sleeve.

Better a livin breathin dork than a styling splat on the road...yellow and orange it is for me, especially this time of year with fading light.

You don't just want yellow, right? You want SCREAMING NEON YELLOW, correct?

I wore a yellow Ibex jersey this morning (low light, foggy, finally drizzling...) and felt like I was barely visible. Then I rode by a bunch of trash collectors, getting their morning coffee. They were each wearing a Neon Yellow safety vest. Those guys glowed! From a distance, all I could see were a dozen bright vests, floating through the Dunkin Donuts parking lot...

Performance may be able to help:

Yes I'm talking absolutely screaming yellow. As in visible from space screaming yellow. My goal is to show up as a glowing spec in the Google Earth program.

Pearl Izumi used to make them and may still. The style, if not the color, is exemplified by this jersey:

The material is quite thin. This particular red has a bit of a neon / dayglo appearance to it, great in the day but less great in low light conditions. The yellow/green is awesome.

They come up on eBay from time to time. You'll be bidding against the jerk (DOH) :)

The Performance brand Hi-Vis Yellow is pratically radioactive and is also cheap. Far better to ignore fashion, and not end up roadkill from a soccer mom in a Suburban on her cell phone. Rear red blinking diode taillights also help.
