Does anyone know of a mini-tool that has an assortment of torx wrenches? It seems that stem manufacturers like Zipp and Ritchey have now moved to this new spec for their stems. None of my mini-tools have torx and my LBS doesn't carry any. I went to Ace Hardware and have a nice set for the work bench but too much to carry.

FYI - even though Ritchey's site says that his WCS c260 Stems use allen bolts, they recently switched them to T20 and T15 Torx bolts. PITA.

Rant over. thanks.

You can always swap the hardware!

I've got a park tools mini kit with a torx... should be an easy search.
And I've got a topeak with a torx.

I don't know of a bike specific multi-tool with Torx bits offhand, but I have a set of Bondhus folding Torx bits that is very nice.

Wouldn't a torx bit set serve you better. With everything having a specific torque setting this days. Just make sure you torque setting doesn't exceed the strength of the bit.

Also, I think Park and Bontrager have a mini tool set with a torx on it, but it's meant for disc brake rotors.

Not sure if this meets your criteria for "mini" but at about 100 grams and ~$17, it is the one I would choose (although I agree with the torque wrench/bit comment above):

The TWS-2 combines the Torx®-style wrench sizes currently being used on bicycle components in a convenient fold-up set.
Includes T7, T9, T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30 and T40 wrenches
Made from Bondhus Protanium™ high torque industrial steel for long life
Multi-position composite handle is lightweight, slip-resistant, and 40% stronger than steel handles

Wiha has something similar to the Park, as well as any kind of torx you may want. http://www.wihatools.com/300seri/363pstar.htm

i carry this hot-rod from topeak. it accepts standard 1/4" hex bits, so you can buy any type you want and use them. it also comes with the most of the ones you need. additionally, the "side bars" are actually tire levers that slide out of the body. neat little design that does almost everything.

Thanks all for the tips on the mini-tools. I'll check them out.

Any idea why are the manufacturers moving to the Torx spec on their bolts now? Seems like a solution to a non-problem.

teeny and often aluminum bolts. More surface to 'bite' with a torx.
