Anyone have any experience with the Fulcrum series of wheels...Looking at the R1 tubs for a racing and occasional training wheel.

They are basically Campy wheels, so you can't go wrong.

Campy tried for a few years, and still offers, "Non-Campy" freehub bodies as an option on their wheels [read: shimano compatible], but a lot of people that ride Shimano won't put on Campy wheels. It's like water and oil. Roast beef and Ice Cream. They just don't go together.

So in an effort to get past this objection and compete with Mavic for marketshare, they designed the Fulcrums. They are to compete with Mavic, though their Highest end are literally re-badged Hyperon's and Bora's.

They are great wheels good luck.

For the wheel experts visiting this thread maybe someone could weigh in about the Token Mono-Q carbon wheels and how they compare to the wheels already mentioned here.
