I live one minute away from the tt course in St. Paul.

We go to most of the races every year.

There will be no exception this year. :)

Thanks for the reminder.

a few weeks back. Wisconsin rolling country roads. We are talking a couple cars passing by every hour (max!). Along with the rollers a few short hills with grades 9-12%.

Few pictures from the basic route;

I plan to be at the MPLS crit.

Probably be spending the morning at Angry Catfish coffee and bikes. Great coffee and bikes - the perfect combination!

I wonder if it will be on TV. I watched every year on Universal Sports. But now...?

Probably the parking lot just past the Ford plant at the top of the hill, before the big turn.

I plan to take my lunch hour ride a little early and go catch some of the action, especially since rain is moving in. With luck the rain will come after the TT is finished and be done well before the criterium tonight.

Sorry, just got home!

A great place to park is at the top of the hill in Highland Village or along Ford Parkway.

I took a ton of pics, as will I at the DT St.Paul stage and Mpls. Stage.

I'll post some as we go.

Great time trials and dt St. Paul crit today.

Plenty of pics for anyone interested.

Go through my signature link and help yourself.

Plenty of cool vintage bikes in the crowd today as well.

Not to mention the awesome Ducatis!

Yes, the women's events were fantastic as well.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

I'll add a bunch of pics on Friday and Saturday as well.

We have some heavy rain in the forecast the next few days and we are all crossing our fingers for good timing so these events come off as scheduled.

We are lucky to have them in our area.

I rode down to watch the downtown crit. It's fun just to hang around and soak up the atmosphere. The races are well staged and there were a lot of booths and side entertainment. The weather was great last night and I had a lovely peaceful ride home along Shepherd Road. Today's weather looks a bit ominous. Let's hope they don't have a repeat of a couple of years ago when the Cannon Falls stage was stopped because of tornadoes!

Is there a "Cannon Falls curse"?
If it isn't a tornado cancelling the race, this year it's 8.5" of rain :(

Well, looks like good weather for the Uptown crit today.

They should have a great crowd.

My wife and I are riding over from St. Paul to take in the show.

I'll bring the camera and try for some higher quality shots.
