After testing the Trek Cronus CX this weekend, I am considering upgrading to a carbon 'cross frame and using it as both my road bike and cross bike. Who makes the tallest carbon cross frame with a 610mm plus seat tube and a 200mm plus head tube?

Any recommendations?

Take a look at the 58cm Ridley X-Fire also.

The website has the seat tube at 62cm center to top.

I'll have to measure mine when I get home to get you the head tube length, I think it's close to the 20cm.

I remember the Giant TCX was rather large, I modeled my custom Lundbeck Cycles cross bike after that. I am 6'4" with a 34/35" inseam** for reference.

**I was told recently that actual inseam length is longer than that which you spec your pants by . . .

Also with Trebon now riding for Cannondale I would not be surprised if they produce a stock 62cm frame in their carbon cross line-up.

I am you exact height/ inseam. How much $$ did your custom Lundbeck Cycles cross bike come in at & w/ what grouppo?

There is a 61cm Ibis Hakkalugi which might fit your bill.

Okay, I measured my head tube on my Ridley X-Fire size 58cm and I came up with 20.5cm.

Hope that helps.

Jim-

Thanks - I think the Top tube at 57.5 is going to be too short for me - I need at least 590

Second on the Calfee, his stock sizes go up to 66cm for the tetra! If you need bigger, call them as they also made custom geometry. Good Luck!

Honestly, the seat tube is a pointless measurement to worry about. I'd focus on the top tube length you need and the head tube length.

In general cross bikes seem to have short head tubes in comparison to a road bike. So if you are taller and need a headtube more in the range of 220 to 230mm, then you'll probably need to flip your stem to compensate.
