South along the lake, up some hills then down a tunnel of trees to the valley floor again. Up a beat up road over the next ridge toward the next lake. Stopped at the top to smell the freshly mowed hay. Turn right for home, thinking about the guy who said in the houseboat thread the other day that he didn't think forested lakes were as slick as desert lakes. Stopped to snap a couple pictures to convince him otherwise. Up one more hill past a funky house that was HQ of a seed company in the late 1800's.

Yep, I need a decent pocket camera. Any suggestions BBDave?

Hope you had a good ride, too.

which lake? I had some lovely rides near Canandaigua while visiting DBRK.

I am farther east at the head of Otisco Lake. This ride goes down the east side of Otisco then up the ridge between Otisco and Skaneateles Lake.

Maybe we should have another Finger Lakes Ramble?

Thanks for the pics. I'm coming up that way for the Bon Ton Roulet next month. Looks like some great riding!

That house in the last pic looks amazing... and probably haunted ;)
