Hello, I am looking to build a Dean Colonel (Ti) 29er single speed with a Ti fork or a steel fork (Vicious Cycles). Now, the obvious reason why I am gravitating towards the steel fork is the cost ($200 versus $600). Having never ridden a Ti forked or steel forked bike, I am curious as to how a Vicious fork rides compared to a Ti fork. Does the Ti fork's more compliant ride justify it cost over the Vicious? Lastly, is there anyone who owns a Vicious 29er fork and knows the maximum tire width the fork can take? Anyone own any other steel forks that they think are better (more compliant) than the Vicious? Opinions greatly sought!
Thanks!

For $300 you can call Walt of Waltworks and tell him what you are looking for and he will build it. I went to him with my 29er allrounder project and am very happy. Forks is what he started out doing and what he does it really well and at a very reasonable cost.
