I've been wearing no-line bi-focals for years. My prescription is strong and with these lenses I HAVE to look through the very middle or I get distortion. To do this while in the drops I have to bend my head back as far as I can against the stop. Needless to say I can't hold that position very long.
Yesterday I got some prescription single vision lens installed in a RayBan "Daddio" frame which fits close to the face and has medium-small lens.
With these I can see fine through the upper 1/4 of the lens so now 15-20 minutes in the drops is fine. It really helped me buck a headwind today.
Some of my "mature" rider pals should keep this in mind. I may even lower my bars????? NAH! but it is way better.
