Rode with a friend so I didn't stop and take as many pictures as I normally do. We headed straight to the beach and toured old stomping grounds. She has only been riding for a few months and was thrilled that today we hit 30 Miles. The head wind home was a great motivator for her to work on riding my wheel.

All those flags, that was a chilling image. Almost seems photo shopped, except we know it's real.

Good for you to hit 30.

With all due respect, you're wrong.

With all due respect, you're wrong.

Not the cause, the need to do it in the first place.

Then, sir, I agree with you. Sorry I misunderstood you post. War, I am sad to say from experience, is a waste of so many things.

Thanks for posting...that is a really great picture of the flags!

BTW, my daughter (now a high school senior) did 38 miles on Memorial Day. It is great to be able to spend some time with her on the bike and she's starting to figure out what it takes to be a cyclist.

My dad is 73 years old. More operations on his body than fingers on your two hands. All taken place at the VA Hospital. He's a WWI and WWII historian. Read more books on the wars than I can imagine. He watches three things on tv: Court TV (cause mom loves the drama and makes him watch it), How-To Shows regarding home/garden and War shows. He summarizes, "In war, you know...there is no real winner, just someone who lost a little less."

He wears a USMC tee-shirt seven days a week. Green, red, camou. I bought him a new one for yesterday.
