Didn't watch it. Monaco GP was this weekend. That was a crazy race if you missed it.

Biased, I'm here in Indy, but yes I care. Good race. Last year too.

Dario needn't give Sato room - he was leading. Bobby Rahal was on Sato all day to make his moves at an appropriate time. His move should have come at the end of the backstretch. Typical Sato: it's the other guy's fault.

Monaco and Indy were both good races today.

Ummm, that would be Graham Rahal.

Bobby hasn't driven in years.

From the perspective of someone who has driven open wheel race cars, Dario gave Sato enough room that there was no contact. IMHO that is just enough room while defending your line/position. Sato made a late move, didn't get far enough inside, and paid the price for being impatient. It had already been proven that a good run off of turn 4, with the new chassis/body design, would generate enough of a slingshot to get past another car before the line. He also could have set himself up for a run down the back straight coming out of 2.

A bit of what we used to call "the red mist" from Sato. Patient, calculated driving right up until the final moment.
