35km to go.
Perazzi and Casar off the front with 3:20 lead.
They do look good.
Perhaps the leaders just let them go as they are not significant for pink.
Liquigas is pushing the pace.
Passo Pampeago - max 16% average 9%

Cheers with some morning coffee, brother.

Someone will posture for a victory today and they will need the legs tomorrow to back-up their effort. Domani:

PS: I hope the Mods can make a coffee-drinking smilie face. I would also like a Cylon smilie face, a smilie face with a Shark Fin, a smile face wearing a Campy tee-shirt (or Underoos) and since this is a sophisticated group, maybe a smile face toasting with a glass of red wine.

25km to go and Roman Kreuziger switched to Red Bull in his water bottle as he's making his move.

Kreuziger ia taking his frustrations out on this stage.
2.5km to go and he's caught Perazzi and Casar.
Ryder Hesjedal and Basso pushing hard.

Great ride and finish. Men with white foam around their mouths, drooling on themselves and their handlebars. Hitting the line and having to stop as soon as their front wheel crosses.

Tomorrow will be a bang.

My hat is off to Hesjedal, but I will take everything off for the kind of job Valerio Agnoli did today for Liquigas. That was mythical. Too bad Basso couldn't cash in.

Argh, my internet (and Eurosport) connection went dead with 1.6k to go. By the time service restored 10 min or so later, there was nothing to see.

Almost hurled my monitor out the window.

(Eurosport connection is otherwise awesome, I run it on an adjacent small window off to the side, hearing Sean Kelly's commentary rolling through like an Irish Poet....)

Not to take away from Phil, Paul and Bob...but I too really like listening to Sean and the other commentator.

I'd love so much to see Ryder win that Giro. Correct me if I'm wrong but that would be the second north american to win it after Andy Hampsten? Canadian cycling fans are ON FIRE I can tell you. If he can stay in the front tomorrow there are good chances this can happen. He's an excellent time trialist as far as I know so he will gain enough time during the final stage.

Ryder for GC, Phinney for time trial stage winner!
As for the commentary, I'm kinda digging Carlton Kirby and Daniel Lloyd. Daniels been doing all the cool climbs in advance to film and show commentary on youtube.
