Looking to build a new set of wheels. Does anyone have experience with the new Chris King R45 in the Campy version?

Also considering Alchemy and White Industries. Thought my LBS would be all over the Alchemy hubs, but they said they've had some pre-load issues with them. Looking for a lightish all around wheelset for my Pegoretti.
Planning to build with Velocity A23 (to see what all the fuss about wider rims is about.)

Thanks

Eric (Ergott) built me a 32*32 Nemesis build about 7 weeks ago. Really like them so far.

I've got a set of the kings, recently built. They're great. Anything specific you're concerned with? The only downside is the cost, they don't come cheap.

I've put 1500 miles on my R45 Campy/HED C2 wheelset 28/28. They're totally solid and smooth. I love the wide rims - my 23c GP4000s measure 25.5mm mounted on them and I can run a lower pressure.

Yes I have 28hole Front and rear to Ambrosio SSC and absolutely love them

I've got some 24/28 holed, HED c2 rims laced to campy King r45's and have about 500 miles on them. Built by Fairwheel / Troy Watson. Great set. Really, solid and well built. I had a paid that were Shimano compatible before these and I can't tell the difference in wheel performance from one to the other.

I got a pair laced to c2 tubulars by Justin Spinelli and they're great. The sound takes a little getting used to. Great hubs though.

+1

Troy Watson builds a great wheel.
