Annual River Ride

Every year I help lead a ride sponsored by a river conservation group and our local bike organization. It is mostly riders that are in no way considered cyclist. This 14 miles was the longest most of them have ever gone.

Getting started

New bike path down our mostly deadly road. 3 miles with cars doing 55 MPH a few feet from us. I feared this part of the ride would not be safe but all in all it went well.

The woman in the blue shirt, riding the beach cruiser sure looks like she's having a good time. It was nice of you to help lead the ride.

Did you try to tell any of the riders that if they raised their seat it would be better? I often struggle with this when out riding and see people with their knees coming up so high.

It can be touchy trying to help people.
