The three bikes I like the most, the father (Super Elliot), son (Giant) and the Holy Ghost (Teschner)...

it's taken quite a while to get to this point but all three are now set up as I wish. Not identical, there are differences in bar height and subtle in reach according to riding needs and style, but now they're all set up so that for me the handling is very similar.

Tractable, understood, solid, and on all three I can ride 'no hands' for quite some distance. Fore and aft balance is good and they're comfortable, saddle height is set with reference to setback from bottom bracket also.

And another thing: if you can't ride no hands and feel your balance on the bike is good, check to see if your cable outers are trimmed properly or if the steering is being input by cabling. After all, if it ain't straight you can't ride no hands.
