I had one for about 5 years. Just sold it, actually. It was built with Campagnolo Record/Chorus mix (naturally).

Mind if I ask why you sold it?

I've got a Duende with Chorus 10. Really just a nice bike all around...great climber, stable descender. Exactly what I need.

What is the difference between the Duende and Macerlo?

Please, please, please educate me.

I have an early 2000s Custom Team built with 7700 Dura Ace (yes, it's sacrilege...) and DT240s laced to OPs.

It rides nice.

The Marcelo and Duende have the same front triangle, they are very similar frames.
The Marcelo has slightly larger diameter seatstays and chainstays, making the
ride marginally stiffer.

Pegs only work with Campsramshim. Don't even think of hanging SunTour on it.

I loved it.

I sold it because I got skinnier, fitter, and like a slightly more aggressive position these days. Had it been a 56 rather than a 58, I'd be riding it still. On the plus side, I rode it 5 years and got something like $200 less for it when I sold than what I bought it for.

I have a Duende circa 07/08, with a Record 10 groupset circa 06, an Easton EC 70 seatpost, a Velo orange silver stem and Nitto Noodle bars.

About the only thing I could contemplate being better are the wheels- which are a set of old Mavic Cosmos.

It must be Campy.

Really.

Chorus is nice and yet not breaking the bank... 10 or 11 spd.

LOL! I tried to make up for it with an overly colorful seat, bar/stem, and tires. :)

I've got a an older Marcelo with a mix of Campy(crankset) and DA (everything else) on it. Nitto Noodles for bars. It is a bit big for me but it is one sweet ride. If anyone wants to swap a 60 for a 58....

Bellissimo...love it. Well done.

Heading over for the Giro in a few days. Just so happens Pegoraduno is next weekend and so I am heading over to his workshop. Cannot wait to meet Dario in Caldonazzo. I am thinking I will have him measure me...takes less than 2 minutes from what I understand. I plan to shut my mouth if I can manage to contain myself and let Dario decide on everything.

ciao

This pic is from my shake-down ride, hence no bar tape, funky bar/stem angles, etc. I can't seem to find my newer pics.

My Duende is in the paint scheme shown in thwart's photo above.
She wears Chorus 10, Record hubs on Open Pros.
Bar tape and saddle are blue.
Very smooth ride.
