Has anyone else encountered difficulty in getting the large Gore cable sealed housing into the shifter when it is mounted on the bars? Any tips or tricks to pass along?

Get Jagwire or Campagnolo 4mm der housing. Gore will not fit into the holes in the shifter.

I managed to get the coated cable through the shifters while on the bars but without the housing in place. The cable coating got hung up on the yellow cable diverter thing and peeled back thus negating the supposed advantage of the Gore cables. Im sure the Gore shifter cables work great on other systems but its not worth the hassle with Campy 11 and is probably best to use the stock shift cables.

For what its worth the brake cables work very well although Gore had a recall on earlier versions of the brake cables when using the Campy head. You can request a replacement set free off their website. The new brake cable set works great, better than the stock cables IMO. Not sure abt longevity yet..
