I just put a micrometer on 25mm gatorskin hardshells mounted on open pros. Got 23.8mm. What's the deal? Comments?

Contis measure out small. Old news. Other brands measure out big - a 25 michelin is a much bigger tire than a 25 conti. A 23 michelin is about the same as a 25 conti.

That's my biggest beef with Conti tires. That and the fact that they are a paint to mount.

I've got a pair of GP 4 Seasons that are listed as 28s and barely are 26 when measured.

Nature of Conti.

About 26

BTW, A Conti rep told me they were coming out with 32 Gatorskins with the kevlar bead.

...that will measure like 28s I'm betting.

look for a sale soon - 25mm gatorskins(folding) in boxes and 25mm hardshells(folding) with 50 miles and a sidewall rub from a loose skewer.

to what others have posted. My GP4000 25s (embossed & printed) measure a spot-on 27 (both of them). Had to replace the front one because it wouldnʻt fit in my Alpha-Q Pro fork.

Depends on rims. I'm getting 27-28.

I'll also note that, bucking Conti's long standing reputation around my patch, the GP 4 Seasons were a breeze to install the first time.

Easiest new tire I've ever put on a wheel.

My 28s with wire bead mic'd at 26.9 on 19mm wide rims.
