So what is the main difference between Cosmic elite and Ksyrium elite wheels? I get that the rim is different but what difference would a hacker like me experience? Which one would you prefer if you weighed 175 pounds and rode a Cannondale Caad8?

Cosmics are a pretty heavy attempt at being aero.
Ksyriums are better suited for everyday use & quite sturdy.
If you don't need the benefits of an aero wheel, I'd go with Ksyriums.

I have Ksyrium Elites and love them, I'm 185 pounds and live in NYC, and up until a major crash had never even trued them in several years of riding. The one downside with wheels like this is that if you damage them at all, you really can't repair them.
