Not at all - it weighs 24.4 lbs as pictured. Its one of the lightest mountain bikes I have ever owned. I really like the way it fits me, and the suspension does not seem to rob power.
I do feel penalized by my excess body weight though:) That is something I am working on.

Here's my '85 Pinarello Montello. Ordered in person at the little shop in Treviso and designed this paint scheme myself. It is based off the paint Alexi rode in the Olympics in 1984. Gionvani wrote my name on the TT like he did for many team bikes. he also added internal shifter cabling. I love this bike.

I told him to spend his money on a new Cinelli SC. He had never seen one in person so he trusted me big time... and he's glad he did :)
