Does anybody know of any painter who strips paint off of a carbon fiber frame/fork and can shoot clear over the bare frame with decals? I simply don't doing it myself with sandpaper or that carbo-lift stuff, as I would no doubt ruin the frameset. I've contacted Keith Anderson, but he's apparently not taking any more carbon bikes for the time being.

TIA!

My neighbor: Colorworks (http://www.colorworksbikepainting.com/)

He's been doing a lot of carbon lately for Veloforma and On-One.

Just make sure whoever does the work has liability insurance. I don't know any manufacturer who will recognize a warranty once the original paint has been removed.

Try Calfee (http://www.calfeedesign.com/repair/frequently-asked-questions/)

"Can you repaint my entire frame?
Absolutely! The best way to get started on a full repaint is to send us some photos of what sort of paint scheme you have in mind. If you are interested in a custom paint design, we have some designers we can work with to make it become a reality."

If area that needs paint is small apply a decal and call it good
1500 wet or dry sandpaper would work to sand area needing paint smooth to accept a respray

I'd be interested in hearing how it goes and the before and after pics. I have a frame I might be interested in having refinished.

Hot Tubes will do the work. And if you have a Cervelo, you will be able to maintain your warrantee.
