Once again I need to expose my ignorance. I nearly have everything I need to build up my track bike (first one, though Ive ridden loaners) except for cranks/chainring. By the way, I have acquired more than a few of my parts from fellow forumites - thank you.
I have a used Miche BB with square taper spindle and I estimate the spindle to be between 109-111mm which I would like to use. I was interested in a crank with a BCD of 144 since that seems to be the standard. Can I buy just any old track crank that will fit a square taper BB or do I have to "match" the crank to the spindle length?
