What's the point if he turns around and places the bar ends at a near-normal height?

It's cool that people experiment with different ideas, but if he's going to go this route it should be taken all the way.

There were a small number of track and time trial bikes that were built this way back in the day. The ironic thing is that if it were fitted with a standard stem and drop bars, the drops might actually be lower than those bullhorns.

Obligatory "In Soviet Union, stem slams you!" joke.

Interesting RD/DT shifters, can anyone ID?

I'd really be impressed if they had to go down to a 20" front wheel to get the fork crown even lower.

with that setup, they could really, really get their head and back low. flexible flyers (the riders, that is).

Tahkion (Tachyon) made quite a bit of their own componentry beside just framesets -cranks, chainrings, stems, bars, shifters, etc. So I am guessing there is a very good chance that these components may have also been made by Tahkion.
