Kind of OT but Terry Shaw of San Jose was in the local news about his recent heart transplant.

He told me he rode with Lemond two/three months after the transplant, doing 50 miles on his Fuso.

He is my coach and mentor, and I am so glad he is doing well now. For those of you who know him, he favorite line still "Leg speed people" to me.

Terry is a Bay Area institution and fit master. His fit session lasts 2-3 hours, and much of that time is devoted to a Bay Area cycling history lesson. It was sad to see him close his shop last year, but wonderful to hear that he found a heart donor so soon after. He was honored at NAHBS as well.
