Not sure if you guys experience with this, but my current carbon fork is slightly too narrow to fit 650B 38mm Col De La Vies. Does anyone know of a 700C fork with the clearance for a conversion?

Or...

Recommend a steel 1" threadless fork for the job!

It might help to post what sort of fork you currently have so we know what doesn't work.

Almost any steel lugged type fork crown should be wide enough, as opposed to a unicrown.

I'm not sure what my fork is. It's just a blank carbon fork that came with a Rodriguez I bought. Sorry, forgot to include that. I know there are the tange/soma forks available, but I wanted to see what else was out there.

The easy choice would probably be a Ritchey Comp, which is decent and not so expensive. It has a wider crown than some, as you can see in this picture. Take a look if it is much better than what you have right now.

Columbus Muscle looks wide-ish, too:

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into those. I can get the Ritchey ones at cost through QBP, but 1" threadless steerer options are slim in the catalog... even for steel forks.

Has anyone tried the Nashbar carbon fork for this purpose? Longshot, but who knows.

I have look at the Nashbar 1" and may try it on my CX bike.
