I've lived in Seattle for about a year now, and I commute to work frequently. I've done quite a few burke-gilman runs, but as I start to get more serious about my riding, I want to go for rides that take me out of the city.
Any rides that you guys really like, or that take you out of Seattle, places more scenic?

Drive up to Bellingham/Whatcom County and join us for a ride...nothing but scenery up here

Here is a very good list to start with.

Also check out the Cascade Bicycle Club daily rides calendar on their website

Yeah CBC rides, look for ones that sound like a good pace for you:

I learned most of my routes outside of and through the city from those rides over the past few years.

Take the ferry to Bainbridge Island.

+100; 30 minute ferry ride, which is fun, and it feels like you're 100 miles away from the city.

Go to Vashon Island also.

Hook up with northbend (real name Matt) and BengeBoy on here, they took me out to Bainbridge when I was in Seattle.
