I have a 1999 Legend Ti (56 cm). I would really like to know what the bare frame weight of this model typically is without having to strip mine down to the frame to find out.

Built-up with Shimano Ultegr (triple), Alpha Q sub3 fork and a set of Rolf Vigor wheels it currently weighs in at about 17.5 lbs.

this is a really stupid question. why do you want to know this? it has nothing to do with the price of the tea in china, which is 14.92 per kilo by the way.

I'd estimate about 3lbs. even, depending on seat/bars/stem etc.

Senior Jerk, he's new......give him a break! He didn't read the sign out front,
"No weight weenies" !! :D

Like Vax said, probably a hair over 3lbs !

Bro, I might not know much about these things but it seems to me your bike is light the question you might want to ask is, is it stiff enough? your frame weighs 3lbs. If it's light and stiff and handles great what more could you ask for ? I would be happy with that anytime.i.m.h.o. Cheers

weigh it, clean all the parts in citrus degreaser, put it all back together again with new cables, housing and bar tape.

You have a new bike!

Just my $.02...

Hey, now that Serotta is in the all carbon business and is quoting the weight of its Meivici (14 plus pounds), who are we to say weight's not important? It's certainly more important than the price Chinese have to pay for tea.
