Pure coincidence. They're all legit.

Wow, and they even all have the same serial number. They say that everyone has a twin, I guess this Ottrott got lucky and was part of a triplet instead.

How many auctions have used these pictures and that description? Is it 5 or 6?. I believe it also showed up in the forum classified section as well and this is at least the fourth post concerning this magical bike.

You don't believe in the vanishing triplet theory?

wierd thing is if you search under "Serotta Ottrott" the bike is acutally listed 4 times- but two of them have the same ending date and time- and the same listing number 5804952429 but different sellers

Scams sux :butt:

I just found the Serotta Classified Ad (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=9719&highlight=ottrott) that was posted. It appears that the auction that has several bids may be legit. At least his location matches the location that the bike is claimed to be maintained by in his Serotta Ad.

Seller claims that warranty is transferable !!!!

Serotta provides a lifetime warranty on Serotta Frames, Serotta Titanium Stems, and Serotta carbon and steel forks against defects in material and workmanship to the original owner.ler claims that warrenty is transfersble !!!!!

Another interesting observation is that he was asking $7500 on the ad posted in the classified section, but there is no reserve on the auction. This doesn't mean that it is not legit, but if it sells at the current price (and the auction ends in 4 hours), he will be taking a $4000 loss -- ouch!

To his sellers credit, he claims to have the original receipts and warranty card.

I don't think I can make it to Menlo Park in time to kick the tires.

There are two experienced folks duking it out. I wonder if the socalstev1 bidding is the socalsteve of this forum.
