So I trashed my rear derailleur (well, bent the pulley cage), due to some incorrect set screw adjustments...Anyway, should I replace the cage, replace the derailleur with a new 6700, or upgrade to 7900?
On a related note, if anyone has one laying around they are looking to get rid of, let me know.

The 6700 is a fine derailleur, I have them on all my bikes even the Dura Ace equipped ones. If you don't need the capability of using a large cassette, you might then consider a 7800 rear der.

Not gonna find a cage assembly unless you find a trashed 6700 RD and swap parts.
7900 will do nothing for your cycling performance, in fact, the 5700 RD is a fine piece of gear, as is the 6700. But you are right, 6700 and 5700 are getting expensive.

Agreed, I use both the only gain from the 7900 is a little aesthetic bling. 6700 works the same. I do like the dark grey color, good inbetween compromise.

Thanks for the advice guys. I do like the look of the new dark gray ultegra.

If you're not opposed to a 6600 RD, there have been several appearing in the classified section.
