A freind of mine is on a working vacation (she is a photographer) in Melbourne and she mentioned wanting to rent a road bike and go for a couple of rides.
Any suggestions as to good, reputable shops and some possible routes would be greatly appreciated.
She is a strong cyclist, good at road, cyclocross, and MTB, plays(ed?) ice hockey, and is a really cool lady.
Thanks,
BK
I live in Melbourne Australia (Brunswick), and used to work as an editorial photographer. If she's my size, I'll lend her a bike. I have too many and am always getting more frames and feel as guilty as hell about it.
I'm 170cm and ride 53.5-54 tt with 100-110mm stems. She'll need her own pedals, of course.
PM me if I can help.

Thanks but she's on the short side
Probably needs a 50cm frame maybe a 52
Any shops that rent there?

My size! Little in the way of decent rentals that I know of but I will enquire.
I would be more than happy to lend her a bike.
I have a few all around the same size.
All have a 53tt with various sizes in st from 50 to 52 cc. Remember to bring a helmet and pedal even a saddle! Again PM me. I think I could dig out a smaller frame too, a pint sized friend owes me a favour.
I would be happy to bring her into the country for a few spins but I have rogered my back (annual event) and am lucky to be walking! In the city I can do a few routes on mapmyride to help her along.
