I'm in the midst of overhauling my proton rear wheel, and realized that the cartridge bearings are shot, the dust seal on the freehub that protects the pawls is caput, and the freehub is deeply gouged. Knowing the treasure trove that is Paceline forums, I figured I'd check if anyone has a Shimano compatible Proton freehub new or in very good condition. I can pick a new one up from the Campy distributor in our hood, but I just know its going to be silly expensive...
Thanks!

Note: I realize now that in reality a campy cassette specific freehub would also be OK- other than the galling on the freehub shell, the other parts, i.e. the dust shield
and cartridge bearing are the same. So, anyone with a Proton compatible freehub body in good nick?

So I took the Proton hub bits to my friends shop where they have a parts cleaner and compressor-woo hoo!- and it appears that in the end all I really need is the dust shield, the other parts being salvageable. Last little bump before I stop wasting forumites time.
