Aw heck. Over here most people think driving 25 miles in a car is like a cross country trip. If you tell them you're riding a bike 50 or 70 miles they think you're absolutely nuts. Then again, :D (What? No more dancing bananas?)

You know your a roadie when....

people ask you how far you've ridden, you tell them and then they ask "are you serious?"

If I was able to read complete sentences, I would have realized that it could not have been you.

My regular Sat. training loop consists of 30-40 miles with my race team and than I tack on two or three hrs. for 65-75...often I make a stop at a local coffee shop for respite and light banter with burnt out lawyers ;) When the subject of "how far did you go today" comes up and I reply...the usual response is "BS" or "no way". I've had people ask to see my computer for proof

Try 25 miles and odds are you will get the same response. If they ask in kilometers they will not likely be impressed by anything you say.

They usually look at me. Then they laugh. They look again. They laugh again. Then they ask the question: "How many yards have you ridden today?"
