Lever and cable help? Flat bar levers from VO

Anyone have these levers from velo-orange?

What part do I need to feed brake cables into the lever?
The cutout for the cable to exit the lever is much larger than a standard ferrule.

Also, what type of cables should I use? Shimano SLR cable ends wont work..

Why not ask V-O? I've always had quick responses to email inquiries. Cool looking levers, what bike are they going on?

They come with the stopper ferrule you need. If not, they are pretty much free at any LBS. I have a set on the VO porteurs:

Hmm... I purchased mine about 6 months ago from VO directly, and they didn't come with that stopper. I'm about to head out to the LBS to see if they have something like that.

They look like Weinmann "Red Dot" replica levers, you need the housing stop piece shown at the lower end of the black cable in this picture.

I emailed V-O twice recently while gathering up parts for my Kirk. Once after the silver skewers I ordered from them came missing the centering springs for the front skewer (they shipped a set within a day), and then they dug up some black 1" knurled spacers after I inquired about the ETA on them after seeing they were out of stock on the website, again, reply within a day. As far as customer service goes, I've been impressed with 'em.

Sounds like a fun project, looking forward to the final result.
