Hope you guys enjoy Flanders as close as I'll ever see it!
Johan Museeuw, lots of beer, and of course The Pattergerg and Koppenberg.

I was lucky enough to be there as well, on my "once in a lifetime trip."

Here is the link to my photos (http://www.flickr.com/photos/71061535@N00/collections/).

Highlights included:
1) Riding all the bergs, including the Muur (that was taken out of the race - it was still a great race without it, I think)
2) Riding the paddestraat - there is nowhere near me to simulate the way these stretches jarred the bike. Next trip is Paris-Roubaix where I hear it is worse!
3) Visiting the Eddy Merckx factory (we knocked on the door but he wasn't there)
4) Visiting the Ronde van Vlaanderen museum
5) Getting to ride a bit with Scott Sunderland
6) Getting a press pass to enter, wander around the start area and see all the bikes up close
7) Getting photos with Marc Madiot, Phil Liggett, and Paul Sherwen
8) The tour and the accomodations were first class

Wow, great pics! interesting that even on the same bikes (bianchi) some front wheels are laced radially and some are laced 2 cross.

Very cool pictures, do you mind if I use some of them as my desktop background?

Agree - I was impressed by the wide variety of wheel choices. But then again, the riders aren't paying for any of them.

Feel free to download any photos you want.

Thanks, I took this one and converted it to black and white. Love the gritty tape and hand writing... captures the character of the race I think. It's my new desktop wall paper. many thanks!
