Handlebar mount for pocket camera to do video?

Does anybody have any advice on a solution to mounting my pocket camera on my handlebars or helmet to do video?

Looks like the GoPro camera has a special bracket without a normal tripod screw mount. I see no reason to buy their camera when I have a perfectly good Panasonic Lumix all-weather unit that shoors true HD. al that's needed is the proper attachement hardware.

Is there a compact, stock photo accessory solution to this problem? Or does anyone have a simple, elegant, secure home brew solution? Pics of your installation would be great . . .

Dave - a few of the guys in my club are doing this. it seems to matter quite a bit on the camera itself, and how well it deals with vibration damping. Kodak makes a very secure mount:

no experience with it myself, but a few people i know use them.

It looks good. I'm trying to find something ready made that is going to be secure but doesn't add too much weight to the bike.
