I think it was dbrk who suggested that Conti Ultra 2000 tires were better than decent everyday riders. I found some folders at Nashbar for something like $12 each during the 32% percent deal a couple of weeks ago. I, the non-racer, can detect no difference between these and top of the line Michelins.
These are brown skinwall tires. My question: Is the brown skinwall a different material than, let's say, a normal black sidewall? Or is it just the rubber on the sidewall being a different color; brown or black?
