View Full Version : Gipiemme Rim ERD?

Any chance anyone knows the ERD of the Gippiemme Tecno 416/716 rims?

I have a pair of Torelli labeled ones that I want to re-lace the rear for Campy 10s compatibility.

My rough measurements are around 566-567, should also be very close to Campy Shamal 12/16 rims as well.

I just checked the rim database in the version of Spocalc currently on the Sheldon Brown web site and they did not have any Gipiemme rims listed at all.

There must be other lists out there, but that's the most complete that I know of.

If you don't find the ERD online, you could find a local shop that has a set of Wheelsmith Rim Rods (or other similar) and get the rim measured. Doesn't take long to do.

Just use the 2 spokes and a string technique, 3 minutes, 2.5 minutes cutting and finding spokes and the string. Google. If you are off 1 or 2 mm because the shop doesn't have the length u need is not that critical. Had a friend that was anal with the spoke length to the mm, crazy.

Hey guys...I have no problem measuring the ERD after I get the wheel disassembled...I was trying to get my ducks in a row beforehand and get parts ordered...Just hoping someone kew the ERD from past experience.

Too many rims moving around and new gipiemme rims never saw the light in stores and that's my best guess why the erd is nowhere, by the way did you check the gipiemme web site?? maybe the rim is there (if you havent look yet)

Hey Ultraman... The rims are there, but no ERD is given. I'll just measure them after I disassemble them.

What's the Torelli model name?

I found Torelli Master listed as 606. Torelli Master new style, listed as 611. The new style was referenced to a 2002 rivendell link.

Hey Mark... No model name on them, just Torelli. I pulled a front spoke, and am gonna back the ERD# out.
