Wow, I've seen plenty of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act cases involving giving the government official things like a Ferrari, a lucrative "consulting fee" for acquiring a contract for oil drilling rights, and even clearing markers totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars at Las Vegas casinos. It´s sad... being Belgium, you´d think these cops would be the ones attempting to bribe Merckx into selling them some bikes...please. Doesn´t seem like much of a case, but may still be annoying and stressful for the old man.
