what does "iPad friendly" mean anyway? does it mean it's in a different format like a mobile website for phones?

I'm not sure of the details, but I know from friends that certain behaviors of a normal website don't have an analogous behavior on the iPad. For instance, when you mouse over something, there's no iPad behavior for having your finger hover over a specific spot.

I imagine it is a format also.

If you go to the Hampco website, you can flip through photos like a photo album...neat stuff and tech savvy. What else do you expect from a Seattle based shop?

You should be able to put coffee beans in the seat tube, and collect the grounds from the bottom bracket....

I would suspect that iPad friendly means that there is not any flash content in the site and that they have built it using formats that will display all the content on the site on an ipad. HTML5, perhaps.

The old site required Flash Player to view the pictures, which the Ipad does not support.

Not a granpa, yet, but I can relate to this guy when it comes to iPads and such:

Still, since Steve knows his way around a cutting board, I wonder what he thinks of the guy's technique.
