Pictures and Prices in post #13 below...Prices Lowered.

Would anyone be interested in Record 8s Ergos and RD, and I'll have a couple cassettes as well. The Ergos are early ones...'92 or '93.

Just feeling it out before I figure out prices and take pics tomorrow...

TIA

I'd be interested in the ergos and rd for my mom's 7sp Shimano bike.

8 speed campy was great , you could run shimano wheels without any problems.

Really? That could make life easy for me.

Yeah...8s Campy pulls the same as std. 7s freewheel stuff (and perhaps 7s Shimano cassette stuff, I don't know Shimano.).

(and perhaps 7s Shimano cassette stuff, I don't know Shimano.).Yes. 5.0mm center-on-center cog spacing too.

Aw not S8? Less exciting I suppose. 4.8mm 8s Shimano, close. Might work.

I bet it could be done with a jtek, or a cable re-route.

Pictures shortly...

OK...Here's some pics.

Turns out all my cassettes are 12-23. (2) of them have very light use (1) Has more, but is still in good shape.

$35 shipped for the nicest ones
$25 shipped for the more used one.

RD is early 8s record, some light scratches and a little rash in the usual suspect lower left corner. Rear cable adjuster is from later 8s RD. I didn't clean her up..some polish would do her good.

$75 shipped or I would trade for a used silver Athena 11 RD ($100 new).

Ergos are probably '93 since they don't have the triangular extension on the brake blade, but they are alloy bodied 1st generation with the old cable hole on top. Right ergo has some rash that would touch up decently with some light sanding and re-spray of the body, left ergo has some lighter rash on the blade. Hoods are pretty decent.

$95 shipped

Let me know if the prices are way out of line...

Question... When using 8s ergos on a 7s shimano cassette, do you use a shimano rd or campy 8s?

Campy shifters with a Campy RD yields a match for the cog spacing on a 7s shimano cassette.

I think the prices are about right. Are you going to part out that De Rosa? If so, let me know, the stem would be a real nice touch to my De Rosa.

Nope...Just the RD and Ergos. I may sell the wheels...or...I might swap the rear hub (for 10s) and re-lace with Lasers.

That is what I figured, I wouldn't sell the stem either but I had to ask ;)

Thanks.

Campagnolo-Campagnolo 8s and shimano 7s are almost the same spacing.

8s ERGO and shimano RD shifts nobodyknowsspacing.
