Still a solid come back for Horner tho

yeah, not bad for an old fogey.

I don't think they had a moto camera on him for any of the race today. slap in the face, if you ask me.

Overall good showing for RSNT at Tirreno Adriatico...

Maybe they'll actually be able to support Frandy in July..

Nebali rode the race to win it, the entire week...great ride.

Frank and Andy both looked anemic on the TT bike at Paris Nice..despite the hand of Johan on their TT set up. It's not unthinkable (though unlikely) that Horner could end up being their best overall chance...especially after the first long TT.

He did great, how many 40 year olds can ride like that ?
Cheers  :hello:

To lose by seconds, at what would have been a huge victory, and still display that great attitude, speaks volumes about his class. He is going to be a killer team mgr some day.

Glad to see he's doing well. That ride he did while concussed and not knowing how he got there was probably one of the scariest things I watched on TV last year.

One of my favorites pros. A very cool guy. He is very visible around Bend, and approachable.

I'm looking forward to this in August: Cascade Gran Fondo (http://www.cascadegranfondo.com/)

Whenever I hear about Chris, I always remember an article where he mentioned this route as one of his favorite training rides. I've ridden all of that route...just never even close to all at once, and especially not in the ~6 hours that he does it in! 110+ miles, starting at 3,600' in Bend, over both 4,800' Santiam Pass and 5,325' McKenzie Pass, with the climb to McKenzie Pass being 2,000+ feet from either direction at 6%+.

BTW, if anyone is in the area at the right time, one nice thing about the old McKenzie Highway over the McKenzie Pass is that in late Spring/early Summer the Oregon Dept. of Transportation does the first snow plow of the highway as one lane only, and opens it to bicyclists only for 2 weeks or so before plowing the entire 2-lane width and opening it to cars for the season (last year it was 3 weeks!). A lot of people start further west and go for the full ~4,500 foot climb to the pass! McKenzie Pass Bikeway Map (http://www.oregon.gov/OPRD/PARKS/BIKE/docs/Mckenzie_Pass_Map.pdf)

now we know he can't TT as the younger guys, he should have tried to move the group yesterday instead of waiting.

Great for him tho, if something like that happens again in the TdF then evans will win again hehehe

That's an old Italian TV trick. Put the copter low and front and the draft slows the rider down - I'm not kidding.
