Another of my impulsive buys - compression half tights by a company named skins - anyone have any experience with them - snake oil or an acceptable product?

I don't know about real compression clothing but I wear my long bibs into a lot warmer weather than most people would because I like the full-leg compression of the lycra. I have pretty bad varicose veins (at 48, thanks Mom) and even just normal tights make my legs feel better.

I've thought about trying some real compression tights...my legs would probably like it.

I don't enjoy the feel of compresison garments during a ride, but I think they've helped me when wearing tights post-ride.

I love this claim from the website:
•Skin Fit is a precision cut based on your body mass index

Miraculous in a product using sizes XS-XXL.

Also, does a short like this leave your lower legs hanging? I mean lactic acid could really build up if these impinge on venous return from below.

I think you are right - for me, shopping on line is expensive and dangerous.
They looked good and the sales pitch seemed ok at the time I ordered them. THEY will probably sit in the bottom of a drawer if I don't return them (if I even can).
