I've been reading the various and varying views about the new Meivici frame.
If it works for Serotta as a business then it has to be seen as a good thing. Even if the majority of Serotta devotees won't or can't buy one the fact that it exists in the market place should strengthen Serotta's accounts, which will help to preserve it's ability to both further innovate and to continue to produce tried and trusted Legends, Concours, et.c., et.c. It might even mean they consider bringing back the DKS...one can but dream.
I'm sure the dealers are salivating. The higher the price the greater the actual money profit even if their margin is the same as for other Serotta frames.
If Serotta went bust everyone would be moaning. Now we don't want that to happen, so let them get on with it.
