My present helmet is now 5 years old and it is time to replace it. I have worn Giro helmets for a number of years and like the Aeon. The Trek/Bontrager also catches my eye. They both work well with the shape of my head.

Do any of you out there have any experience with either of these?

I have heard a couple of complaints that the Aeon straps get out of adjustment.

Help me spend my money wisely!

I bought the Aeon and like it! Vents awesome. Takes a bit to set up but once done it is a great helmet.

i bought a giro aeon after having used a trek anthem for five years. i like the helmet. super light, great ventilation. only possible complaint i have is that the straps seem flimsy. that is the only way i can describe it. all in all if it were still available i would buy another trek anthem but that being said i am satisfied with the aeon as a replacement helmet.

Both are equally good. I have owned many Giro helmets and own a Trek Quantum. Fit is similar but the Trek can expand more, aat least in size medium.

I demo'd an Aeon but settled on the Atmos because it felt smaller and less like a mushroom top on my head. No experience with the Trek, sorry.

I have an aeon and it's great for ventilation and weight, but it looks kinda goofy compare to my old atmos.

The oracle isheavy and seems kinda cheap...or at least the two that I've seen
