The entire French Village of Courbefy in the Limousin region (not too far from Bourduex) is for sale. In a recent auction, no one bid on the $400,000 asking price. All of Courbefy’s buildings – which are mainly made up of stone family homes and a village hall and a former resort – are available, together with the pool, stables and tennis courts.

This sounds like a perfect opportunity for a new cycling resort in the heart of France. The Paceline Forum Cycling Resort. A destination resort in rural France. A staging place for a TDF centered vacation, or just to relax and ride the local countryside. Who's in??

How about a new donation button for the cause?

I'm in, with one caveat: that Velotel sends us some pictures of the area and approves it as a good area to ride.

Easily one of the bloodiest anthems out there:

Allons enfants de la patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arrivé !
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L'étendard sanglant est levé ! (bis)
Entendez-vous dans les campagnes,
Mugir ces féroces soldats ?
Ils viennent jusque dans nos bras
Égorger nos fils, nos compagnes !

Aux armes, citoyens !
Formez vos bataillons !
Marchons ! Marchons !
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons !
