how do i embed a youtube image/video?

On a cycling forum, roadbikereview, circa 2005, I brought the invention of YouTube videos. I think I got a temp-ban for it, people didn't understand. It's a copy/paste thing. Copy the link of the YouTube video from your browser...and past it in the body of your post.

i can post url of course. i was trying to figure out how to post the image, so that you can see the video within paceline website, not redirected to youtube.

i like an embedded link when viewing from smartphone, hence the inquiry.

A link is good enough.I agree. YouTube is blocked here at work, so the embedded video would come up for me as an empty space in the post. If someone embedded several in one post, it would be annoying scrolling down past all that empty space.
